Insurance Adjuster Teams | The Best Way to Run Claims as a Team

In this video, we're talking TEAMS - specifically property IAs joining forces to run claims faster and better than they can on their own..

WHAT IF..

You were really really good at Xactimate - super fast, can find anything in there almost instantly, can troubleshoot when things break, and you can type really fast and do great reports..

And..

I am awesome at scoping and talking to insureds and taking pictures and I've got a great understanding of construction...

And we got together to run claims.  Wouldn't that be sweet!?  You could stay in the truck and I could walkie-talkie my scope back to you and text you photos and by the time I was done looking at a house, you'd hand me an estimate out the window and I could go and settle up with the insured on site and BOOM DONE.

This is real.

I know several adjusters who do this - usually with their spouse so that the money they earn just goes to both of them.  If you team up with somebody who's not your spouse then you have to figure out how you're going to pay them or split up the fee bill so that it's fair.

I've teamed up myself and in my experience, there's a way that I think it makes the most sense to do this.

But first...

Can you even do this?   Will my IA firm or the carrier have a problem with this?

***Always be up front with your IA firm if you’re thinking about running claims as a team***

Probably not... However, you'll both probably need to be licensed, most likely and in many cases, you'll also both need to have that carrier's certification if you're both going to be digging deeply into each claim.

So keep that in mind while you're planning this.

I teach new catastrophe adjusters how to get started in the business.  I also build my own websites and sites for friends (who sometimes pay me).  In addition, I film and produce personal adventure videos for hunting and fishing clients.
